This is life; you just have to learn how to live it.

I was scared of falling in love but I took the risk and fell harder than I ever had. He broke my heart when he told me he was going to Japan for a minimum of three years. My heart sank when he texted me and said it was over. It hurt like hell and I didn’t know what to do.

Maybe it’s for the best and maybe not. I will say it meant a lot to me that he showed up at my graduation and he smiled as they called my name. But I have more to think about now then how much it hurts. I have to think about how to be strong for myself. If I can’t find a rock in all of this I have to be one.

I’ve graduated from high school. I’ve loved someone with every fiber in my being and I’ve realized that life isn’t all about being happy or sad. It’s about trying; that’s all I can do.
